    Our ‘mini’ mobile unit brings our therapy minis Vanessa (mini donkey) and Shakira (mini horse) to your group. We visit underserved communities, group homes, low income schools and families with needs and different abilities. Our goal is to simply bring a little joy to each person through petting, grooming and hand-walking our miniature therapy equines. This is a great experience based learning exercise on body language and clear communication.

Ranch Visit $150-$500

  • Services available in Spanish and English.

    Ranch visit are open to the general public where you can get up close and person with not only our therapy minis, but also our rescued full size horse, Vaquera. Our program is free flowing and open. We can just sit and groom them the entire time, we can go into a lesson on hand-walking or even go on a 'mini' hike! During our visit you are also welcome to ask questions and take photos.

Slow Lessons $55-$80

  • *Our HP Lessons subsidize no-cost equine therapy to low income public schools in San Francisco. (But if you need financial assistance, please let us know and we can work with you by receiving a sponsorship or grant award to help pay for your lessons.)

  • Services available in Spanish and English.

    Learn the fundamentals of horses with at least (16) Horsepersonship Lessons before moving up to Riding Lessons. We start from the hooves up, if you will. Learning not only the basics of grooming, tacking and ground work but also, horse behavior, major equine diseases and illnesses, equine first-aid and nutrition. The history and heritage of my upbringing in horses and riding is also taught in these lessons. We believe that as caregivers and students of horses, and donkeys, that it is our responsibility to learn everything we can to properly care for our equine partners.
